Introduction:
The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Kashmir Affairs and Northern Affairs was formed on April 19, 2004. The Committee has a total membership of 12, of which 4 are from Opposition and the rest from the ruling party and its coalition partners. It has a distinguished membership of experienced parliamentarians and public figures. Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed is the elected Chairman of the Committee.
